Kenya’s Abraham Kiptum has emerged winner of the 2017 Access Bank Lagos City Marathon and will be going home with the cash prize of $50,000. Edwin Ekong According him, his personal purpose of participating in the race is not ultimately for the prize gift, but a personal desire. The medical doctor told NAIJ.com: “Marathoning is the triumph of desire over reason. So this is the triumph of my desire." 7.20am Some dehydrated athletes take a quick stop to get water and continue with the 42km race. As at now, we are yet to see any of the elite runners.
